About Stephanie

Stephanie Houten is the founder of Praxis Collaborative Media, formerly known as Stephanie Houten Multimedia LLC.

She is the lead producer at Praxis Collaborative Media, working directly with clients to consult and plan for video strategy and production. Stephanie has partnered with agencies and production companies to lead production and cinematography for clients such as Sony and the International Institute of New England. She freelances as a director of photography and camera operator in the music industry, working cross regionally in New York City and Los Angeles.

Over the past 8 years, Stephanie has worked with clients particularly in the nonprofit sector, developing specialized skills in impact storytelling using short form video and short documentary film.

Stephanie is also the founder of For Artists, By Artists, a collaborative initiative with artists to create opportunities and develop a stronger ecosystem for underrepresented and underserved creatives in the Boston area.

Stephanie studied filmmaking and interrelated media at Massachusetts College of Art & Design and liberal arts at Bunker Hill Community College. She enjoys playing music, exploring nature, reading, and collaging.
