FABA is an artist-led initiative strengthening greater Boston’s creative sector by producing programming that centers marginalized creatives.

Season 1

2023-2024

In its flagship program, FABA produced the first season of free video production services for Boston based artists most impacted by COVID-19. Artists received a variety of video content as well as consultation on video strategy for social media, fundraising, and grant applications. This program not only provided multiple artists with technical services, but created job opportunities for a variety of creatives in the film industry.

Season 1 Film Screening & Celebration

May 2025

We celebrated Season 1 with a screening and celebration event held at the Civic Pavilion in City Hall Plaza, where artists and crew from Season 1 were invited to share how the program positively impacted their creative careers. The evening offered an opportunity for networking, celebration, and of course, job opportunities for creatives in working in event and media sectors.

FABA Presents: FRESH

October 2025

The concept behind FRESH is simple: create a platform for emerging artists to showcase their talent and gain experience performing, vending, and working - all to for the cultural benefit of our communities. FABA FRESH featured a curated lineup of fresh local performers, crafts vendors, and grassroots organizations for a day of creativity and community engagement at the Sylvester Baxter Riverfront Park in Somerville, MA.
