Light refreshments from local favorites Yafa Bakery and Koshari Mama will be served, and group discussions will be facilitated by Medford for Palestine after the film screens to reflect on the impact and ways we can organize towards Palestinian liberation.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to donate to the Hind Rajab Foundation in lieu of a ticket fee. RSVP here.

About the Film

Written and directed by Kaouther Ben Hania and distributed by Watermelon Pictures, The Voice of Hind Rajab is an intense drama based on the heartbreaking story of Hind and her family, and the healthcare workers who attempted to rescue them through the Red Crescent Society emergency service. Real excerpts of Hind’s voice on her emergency phone call were used to create the film, bringing a tangible emotional connection into the viewer’s experience. The Voice of Hind Rajab is a critical reminder - especially for those of us in the United States - of the urgency of the call of Palestine.

About Medford for Palestine

Medford for Palestine (M4P) is a diverse group of neighbors organizing for the liberation of Palestine. In 2025, Medford became the first Massachusetts city to enact a local law requiring divestment from war crimes and genocide, as the city council voted overwhelmingly in favor of the Values-Aligned Local Investment Ordinance. At the screening, M4P volunteers will share more about this ordinance; how it’s being baselessly attacked in the courts by the same Zionist organizations who are also challenging a divestment resolution in Northampton, MA; and, most importantly, how you can get involved in local efforts to organize for Palestine and all people affected by imperialism.

Why This Screening Matters

Watching and reflecting on this film together in community is a way to process what is happening, and find ways to take meaningful action together. Medford for Palestine organizers will facilitate reflection with care and intentionality, holding space for small group discussions after the film, and inviting attendees to follow up after this event with ways to get directly involved - whether through advocating to city councilors, joining a standout, or coming to the next M4P organizing meeting.

Join us at the screening to watch and discuss themes of the film, enjoy refreshments, and learn about how you can get involved in local organizing efforts with Medford for Palestine and others. RSVP here.
