From the directors, Stephanie Houten and Vernée Wilkinson:

“To us, authenticity means centering youth voices - no matter what their opinions are. This was our shared priority, and why our collaboration was important in making the film. We share a larger vision of creating frameworks and archiving these perspectives for communities facing institutional repression. We aim to create a space for dignity when it is so often missing.

We hope that this film helps bring visibility to the need for institutional process changes, specifically within the city departments and their collaborators in charge of making decisions and adopting the changes depicted in the film. Our goal is for this film to be a catalyst for providing perspectives and tools for communities to create when faced with these situations and others like it. We hope this film serves as proof of concept so we can continue to support these stories and communities.”
